Somehow I'd thought the world had moved beyond wholesale port-blocking for spam-control. Guess not.

The whole "[any computer on a residential-class line] should never send email at all" reasoning is incredibly vexatious: EVERYONE should be sending their #email directly from trusted node to trusted node without having to let their ISP cache and read their messages.

@rozzin But if we're not in corporate silos how is the NSA et al supposed to intercept our messages easily?

@maiyannah, I encourage those who do fear law-enforcement being hampered by routine privacy to just explicilty CC NSA on all their e-mail.

@maiyannah, actually..., that reminds me of my "BCC the US Consistution to the NSA" project: https://www.hackerposse.com/~rozzin/journal/politics/bcc-the-NSA.html

Hm. I should have used "M-x spook" on that message before sending: http://www.fnal.gov/docs/products/emacs/emacs/emacs_29.html#SEC308

      Apparently I can still do #P2P #SMTP on #Comcast "business" lines; the price of #privacy / #autonomy is $60/month extra + 2-year commitment.
