   !TIL: copytruncate and dateext as parameters in /etc/logrotate.d scripts. First one empties and contiues with the same file after copying it for rotation as some programs don't use the file name as handle but the inode number and then (at least sometimes) continue logging into the rotated logfile. Second extends the names of the rotated logfiles by the current date.

    !TIL On the server: WordPress 4.7.x with plugin Jetpack installed; on the client: Debian Jessie, Chromium 55; login to dashboard, work in the editor -> Chromium freezes sooner or later, mostly while scrolling up/down. Removed Jetpack, Chromium never froze again.

    !TIL: The need of full paths to other files in a #python script which is started as cronjob is also given when another script/program is 'call'ed by that script from a path that is stated in $PATH for the user whose crontab is running the script. So if you want to start a program from /usr/sbin from a script that is started by root's crontab, it must be called with /usr/sbin/$program. $PATH seems not to apply.
