mk (mk)'s status on Monday, 23-Jan-2017 15:45:35 EST mk @bobjonkman brilliant, thanks! Dates in the first page are confusing (all in the past?); the second sounds like it's only software. But both will be a good starting point to find out more. :) -
mk (mk)'s status on Monday, 23-Jan-2017 14:15:33 EST mk Great info - I have plans for plying with #LED lighting myself but have never soldered anything. Thinking doing a course (if there is such a thing) might save me some time (and messy mistakes) :) -
mk (mk)'s status on Sunday, 01-Jan-2017 08:16:53 EST mk !til that I can use Chromium with Firefox's Library (the bookmarking tool): just drag a URL from Chromium into Library, and it will create a bookmark, even picking up the document title. This is a big time saver for me! (It works more-or-less with Epiphany, too, but the title doesn't come across.) #browsing #bookmarking -

mk (mk)'s status on Sunday, 13-Sep-2015 14:16:58 EDT mk No wonder I was getting confused before researching RAID boxes - one brand is bad enough to have a spec for the '9528 series' only, not for separate models within the series, which are all indicated with a single code. The leaflet may say a led is for 'eSATA activity' but it has no LED, another has such a LED but no eSATA connection either. These are all minor difference… -
mk (mk)'s status on Monday, 17-Aug-2015 02:36:32 EDT mk @bobjonkman @NickInfoSec Magnetic tape? We had to punch the holes in the papertape by hand! -
mk (mk)'s status on Saturday, 11-Jul-2015 03:07:59 EDT mk !til that as root I cannot use an sshfs 'connection' made by a normal user (with a keypair for that user) - I was surprised to get a 'Permission denied' on that, but thinking it through, it makes sense. So, I'll have to set up keys, etc. for root as well. #yakshaving -

mk (mk)'s status on Tuesday, 03-Feb-2015 19:37:18 EST mk @rozzin that sounds like the evolution of spam origin analysis: first, all Received: headers were checked; but then it was seen that those could actually be spoofed, too - *except* for the origin machine of the last hop. Looks like SPF picked up on that 'wisdom' and doesn't bother itself with what could be fake anyway. But thanks, I hadn't realized that about SPF (though … -
