Great info - I have plans for plying with #LED lighting myself but have never soldered anything. Thinking doing a course (if there is such a thing) might save me some time (and messy mistakes) :) -

!til that I can use Chromium with Firefox's Library (the bookmarking tool): just drag a URL from Chromium into Library, and it will create a bookmark, even picking up the document title. This is a big time saver for me! (It works more-or-less with Epiphany, too, but the title doesn't come across.) #browsing #bookmarking -

No wonder I was getting confused before researching RAID boxes - one brand is bad enough to have a spec for the '9528 series' only, not for separate models within the series, which are all indicated with a single code. The leaflet may say a led is for 'eSATA activity' but it has no LED, another has such a LED but no eSATA connection either. These are all minor difference… -

!til that as root I cannot use an sshfs 'connection' made by a normal user (with a keypair for that user) - I was surprised to get a 'Permission denied' on that, but thinking it through, it makes sense. So, I'll have to set up keys, etc. for root as well. #yakshaving -

setting up my computers to use the Fritz!box as time server: that is already consulting the pool, no need for separate computers to do that as well. I only realized recently that the Fritz!box could do that: it's a handy feature. !til the program chrony can do different things than ntp, and is handy for laptops that cannot always poll a server - it was already installed by Fedora! #time #sync #ntp #chrony
