!TIL: New stuff in #python, i.e. „try/except“. Should only be used for input that does not come from a user, and even then only if there is no other way. Today I used it to check exceptions from the external shell programs ping and host, and that became necessary because we had some network problems at #Chaosdorf. Next time: database stuff, and I should get my listings ported from Python 2.7 to 3.x.
