The rules for Wikipedia are too whimsical and draconian. Any factual information that improves the article should be added. But the citationists and deletionists prevail, and that results in articles like "Banana: A yellow [citation needed] fruit [citation needed] that grows in tropical climates [disputed, submitted as AfD]"
